Through the use of animal and plant experimental models, we seek to unravel the molecular mechanisms that govern cellular transitions and cellular reprogramming events in different development processes.
Research lines:
- A multidisciplinary approach for the study of Mexican salamanders from the Ambystoma genus, with an emphasis in the study of molecular networks that define process such as metamorphosis, regeneration and stem cells biology.
- Studying, in plants, the evolutionary conservation of minimal regulatory circuits that modulate cellular reprograming events such as asymmetrical cellular division of stem cells and cellular de-differentiation and differentiation.
